As a current MS-PSD student, you have the resources of the Physical Sciences Division and the University of Chicago at your disposal. There are a range of faculty and staff available to support you as you work toward achieving your academic and professional goals.
We encourage you to explore your academic interests across and within the division, working with the faculty Director to build your own curriculum from the courses offered in Astronomy, Biophysical Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geophysical Sciences, Mathematics, and Statistics. However, we also encourage you to delve into the wider pool of resources available to you as a University of Chicago student. The offices of Graduate Student Affairs and Career Advancement in particular have dedicated staff supporting master’s student professionalization. The University Library system includes Mansueto with its grand reading room and state of the art retrieval system, as well as Crerar and Eckhart, which are dedicated science libraries. And one should also not forget the great resource that is Hyde Park and the city itself. Chicago has much to offer.
